Lithium Motorcycle Battery
A lithium motorcycle battery does two things the lead brick under your seat never will: it drops real pounds off the bike, and it cranks harder on cold mornings after sitting all winter. We carry starter LiFePO4 batteries for street, cruiser and electric-start dirt bikes in the common case sizes, with the cranking amps to match your engine.

Why Riders Switch to a Lithium Ion Motorcycle Battery
The classic lithium ion motorcycle battery story is weight: two to five kept pounds, usually high in the frame where it matters. The better story is behavior. LiFePO4 loses only a few percent of charge a month, so a bike that hibernates all winter still fires in spring without a tender. Cranking output stays strong across the whole charge, cold starts stop being a negotiation, and the battery itself typically outlasts three lead-acid replacements. Pair it with a lithium-profile maintainer if the bike sits, and skip the trickle chargers built for lead.
The honest fit test, straight from riders who run them: if your bike is never in danger of freezing and it is newer than about 2000, lithium is for you. It is not only lighter, it is much smaller, and that space is the sleeper benefit. Tucking in lighting accessories gets much easier: a blinker regulator, a brake-light pulser, the little boxes every modified bike collects. Everyone can use more room under the seat, even if only to make getting at things easier. Pre-2000 machines can still make the jump; they just deserve a fresh voltage rectifier first, and the FAQ below says why.
Lithium Motorcycle Battery FAQ
Is a lithium motorcycle battery right for my bike?+-
If your bike is never in danger of freezing and is newer than about 2000, lithium is for you. It is not only lighter but much smaller, which frees real space under the seat: riders use it to tuck in a blinker regulator, a brake-light pulser, or just to make getting at everything easier. Pre-2000 bikes should pair the swap with a fresh voltage rectifier, covered below.
Why do older (pre-2000) motorcycles need a rectifier check first?+-
Older bikes have older voltage regulators and rectifiers. Sometimes those regulators degrade and stop “regulating” very well, which can pass too much voltage from the stator to the battery, and that can cause issues with lithium. On a pre-2000 machine we highly recommend replacing the rectifier when you buy a lithium battery. The high-quality packs we carry also have built-in regulation to protect themselves, but a healthy rectifier is what makes the whole system right. Call us with your model and we will tell you straight.
Can I use my old battery tender on a lithium motorcycle battery?+-
Only if it has a lithium mode. The desulfation pulses that help lead-acid batteries are bad medicine for lithium cells, so use a maintainer with an explicit lithium profile.
Do lithium motorcycle batteries struggle in the cold?+-
They crank strong with one rider trick: key on for about 30 seconds so the headlight gently wakes the cells, then start. That brief warm-up has the pack delivering full amps even on cold mornings.
