UTV Battery Charger
Light bars, radios and winches all pull from one battery in a side by side, and a lithium UTV battery should be charged on a lithium profile. A UTV battery charger works the same on a Polaris RZR, a Can-Am or any other machine, because the charger cares about the battery, not the badge: match 12 volts, pick the amps for the battery’s size, and make sure it has a LiFePO4 mode.
UTV Battery Chargers
One Battery, a Lot of Accessories
A side by side asks more of its battery than a quad: lights, a winch, a stereo, sometimes heated seats, often with the engine off. When the day ends with the battery down, a lithium-profile charger brings it back without the lead-acid float and desulfation stages lithium does not want. The Dakota 12V 3A fills a flat 25Ah battery in about 8 hours from any household outlet. Shop the battery itself on our UTV battery shelf.
UTV Battery Charger FAQ
Will this charge the battery in my Polaris RZR or Can-Am?+-
If the machine runs a 12V lithium battery from 7Ah to 25Ah, yes. The charger only needs the battery’s voltage and size from its label, not the make of the machine. Call 888-274-7544 if you are not sure.
What if my UTV has a bigger battery?+-
Dakota says its 12V 3A works on any 12V lithium battery; past 25Ah it just takes longer, about 13 hours for 40Ah. For 40Ah and up, the Dakota 12V 10A is rated for the job; find it on our charger finder.
How long does a UTV battery take to charge?+-
About the amp hours divided by the charger’s amps. A flat 25Ah battery takes about 8 hours on the 12V 3A.
