Ariens Zero Turn Mower Battery
AriensCo lists one 12-volt battery, part 04738800, for select APEX, EDGE, IKON and ZOOM models, and the replacements sold for the IKON and APEX are Group U1. If your old battery reads U1 or U1R, or the case measures about 7.7 x 5.2 x 7.2 inches, the Group U1 lithium batteries on this page fit. Match the terminal side: a U1 has the positive on the left, a U1R on the right, facing the posts.

How do I replace the battery on an Ariens zero turn?+-
Park on level ground with the key out and open the battery cover. Disconnect the negative cable first, then the positive. Swap the battery, connect the positive first and the negative last, and tighten the hold-down.
Will a lithium battery start my Ariens in the cold?+-
Yes. On a cold morning, turn the key to on for about 30 seconds before you crank so the small load wakes the cells. Lithium will not take a charge below freezing, so charge it indoors in winter.
