Hustler Mower Battery
Hustler built the first zero turn mower in Hesston, Kansas, in 1964, and its gas zero turns still start on a single 12-volt battery. The Raptor SD, the Fastrak and the bigger commercial machines take a Group U1 or U1R, and a Hustler mower battery in lithium drops into that tray at a fraction of the weight. The Raptor X, XL, XD and XDX and the Dash XD use a much smaller battery, and the Antigravity AT7B-BS on this page is sized for it; the size notes below cover both.

Hustler Zero Turn Mower Battery
Two sizes. Hustler’s own manual for the Raptor SD and SDX calls for a 12-volt Group U1R with at least 225 cranking amps, and the Fastrak and the larger zero turns take the same U1 case, about 7.7 x 5.2 x 7.2 inches. The Group U1 lithium batteries on this page fit them. Match the terminal side on your old battery: U1 positive on the left, U1R on the right, facing the posts; the Ionic S8 has posts at all four corners and suits either.
The Raptor X, XL, XD and XDX, the Dash XD and the Surfer Pro use Hustler part 607723, a small 12-volt 9Ah AGM about 6 x 2.6 x 3.7 inches with bolt terminals. The Antigravity AT7B-BS RE-START on this page is that thin case in lithium, within 0.2 inch on every side, with 180 cranking amps at 1.5 lbs and four terminals, so it fits either cable layout. How long does a lithium mower battery last?+-
Far longer than lead-acid in a mower, because what kills a mower battery is sitting flat, and lithium loses only a few percent of its charge a month. A lead-acid battery left flat over a winter sulfates and rarely recovers.
