12V Marine Battery
The 12v marine battery is the one nearly every boat runs: kayaks, jon boats, bass boats, pontoons and center consoles all live on 12 volts. We carry 12 volt lithium marine batteries for every job on board, from a 54Ah pack that runs a fish finder all weekend to a 460Ah house bank for a cruiser, plus the dual purpose packs that start the outboard and run the day.

The 12 Volt Marine Battery, Sized by the Job
Every 12V lithium pack we carry is the same chemistry, LiFePO4, in a sealed case that shrugs off spray and vibration. What changes is capacity and rating. A fish finder and a couple of pumps want a 54 to 60Ah deep cycle. A trolling motor up to about 55 pounds of thrust wants 100Ah for a full day. An outboard wants a dual purpose pack with a cranking rating that meets the manual. A cruiser with a fridge, inverter and electronics running overnight wants a 300Ah plus house bank. Match the amp hours to the hours you actually run, and remember that 80 to 100 percent of a lithium battery is usable, so a 100Ah lithium does the work of a 200Ah lead-acid pair.
Drop-In Group Sizes
Marine batteries are sold by BCI group size, and the lithium packs we carry come in the same footprints: Group 24 and 25 for the 54 to 100Ah class, Group 31 for 100 to 150Ah, and 8D for the 460Ah EPOCH house bank. The tray, hold-down and cables you already have fit. The only change on most boats is the charger, which needs a lithium profile to fill the pack completely; the onboard chargers in our accessory options are set for it.
12V Marine Battery FAQ
What size 12v marine battery do I need?+-
Add up the amps your gear draws and multiply by the hours you run it. Electronics and pumps: 54 to 60Ah. A trolling motor for a full day: 100Ah. Starting plus house loads on one battery: a 135 to 150Ah dual purpose. Overnight house loads on a cruiser: 300Ah and up. Call us at 888-274-7544 and we will size it in a few minutes.
Can I replace my Group 24, 27 or 31 lead-acid battery with lithium?+-
Yes. The lithium packs we carry are built in the same BCI group footprints with standard terminals, so the tray and cables fit. Confirm your charger has a lithium profile, or add one of the onboard chargers we offer with the battery, and the swap is a twenty-minute job.
How long does a 12v lithium marine battery last?+-
The packs we carry are rated for 3,000 to 5,000 charge cycles, which at a hundred outings a year is decades of use. Lead-acid marine batteries typically deliver 300 to 500 cycles. Warranties on the lithium shelf run up to 11 years, which tells you what the manufacturers expect.
