Bobcat Zero Turn Mower Battery
Bobcat’s zero turns, from the ZT2000 and ZT3000 for homeowners to the ZT6000 and ZT7000 for crews, start on a single 12-volt battery. A Bobcat zero turn mower battery in lithium cranks harder, weighs a fraction of lead-acid and holds its charge between cuts. Read the label on your old battery first; the size notes below show what to look for.

If the label on your old battery reads U1 or U1R, or the case measures about 7.7 x 5.2 x 7.2 inches, the Group U1 lithium batteries on this page fit. The older Bob-Cat zero turns built under the Ransomes name, like the ZT 2000, take that size. The letter is the terminal side: U1 positive on the left, U1R on the right, facing the posts.
Bobcat also sells a 12-volt gel battery of its own for its current zero turns. If yours carries one, measure it before you order, or call 888-274-7544 with the model number and we will match it.
Bobcat Zero Turn Mower Battery FAQ
What size battery does a Bobcat zero turn take?+-
It depends on the model and year. Older Bob-Cat zero turns like the ZT 2000 take a Group U1; Bobcat also sells its own 12-volt gel battery for its current mowers. Read the label or measure the old battery, or call 888-274-7544 with the model number.
Is lithium safe for a commercial zero turn?+-
Yes. LiFePO4 is the most stable lithium chemistry, it shrugs off vibration better than lead-acid, and it has no acid to spill when the mower works a slope. Every battery we carry has a battery management system that guards against overcharge and short circuits.
