UTV Battery
A UTV battery works harder than most riders think. Between the starter, the light bar, the winch, the sound system and the accessories every side-by-side collects, it is under load from the first crank to the last song at camp. Our lithium UTV battery picks crank hard, carry those loads without sagging, and hold their charge from the last ride of fall to the first ride of spring.

The Best UTV Battery Does Double Duty
A side by side battery has to crank a big twin on a cold morning, then hold voltage steady while a winch pulls, a light bar burns and the radio plays at camp. Lead-acid sags under that combined load; LiFePO4 does not. The right battery for UTV duty is a dual-purpose pack: cranking amps for the start and deep cycle reserve for everything after it. The Dakota DL+ 25Ah we carry does both, in a sealed 6.4 lb case that takes washdowns, water crossings and the vibration a rough trail feeds through the chassis.
Whether you run a Polaris Ranger or RZR, a Can-Am Maverick or Defender, a Honda Talon or Pioneer, a Kawasaki Teryx or Mule, or a Yamaha Viking, the fit question comes down to three things: the case size your tray takes, the terminal layout, and the cranking amps your engine wants. The size chart below covers the pack we carry; tell us the year, make and model and we will confirm the match before you order.

UTV Battery FAQ
Is a UTV battery the same as a side-by-side or SxS battery?+-
Yes, the terms are interchangeable: UTV, side-by-side and SxS all describe the same class of machine, and the same battery fits regardless of what you call it. What matters is the year, make and model match: call us at 888-274-7544 and we will confirm fit.
What is the best UTV battery for a Polaris Ranger or RZR?+-
A dual-purpose lithium pack with real deep cycle reserve, because a Polaris UTV battery runs a winch, a light bar and audio on top of starting the engine. The Dakota DL+ 25Ah delivers 300CCA and 25Ah in a sealed 6.4 lb case. Match the case and terminal layout to your model year, and call us at 888-274-7544 to confirm before you order.
Is there a UTV battery size chart?+-
Yes, the size chart above lists the case dimensions, terminal layout, cranking amps and capacity of the pack we carry, plus the lead-acid sizes it replaces. Measure your tray and match the terminal side; if your OEM code is not on the list, call us at 888-274-7544 and we will check it against your machine.
Can a lithium UTV battery run my light bar and winch?+-
Yes. LiFePO4 holds voltage under combined accessory loads far better than lead-acid. For accessory-heavy builds, step up in capacity so long idle sessions with lights and audio never leave you short of cranking power when it is time to head home.
Can I use a battery tender on a UTV lithium battery?+-
Only one with a lithium mode. A UTV lithium battery needs a charger or maintainer with an explicit LiFePO4 profile, because the desulfation pulses in lead-acid tenders damage lithium cells. Between rides it barely self-discharges, so most owners never need a tender at all.
