Ionic S4: A Lithium Motorcycle Battery With Bluetooth and a Reserve Start
The Ionic S4 is a 12V LiFePO4 starter battery for the many bikes that run a YTZ10S, YTZ14S, YTX9, YTX12 or YTX14 size battery, from sport bikes to Sportsters. It turns the engine over with 500 peak cranking amps (300 CCA) from 3.3 lbs, under half the weight of the lead acid it replaces, and Ionic ships it with the spacers for your battery's case so it sits tight in the box.
Bluetooth is built in, so the Ionic app shows the state of charge before you ride. Emergency Start holds back 25% of the charge: if a parked bike or a heated vest runs the battery down, press the button or use the app and start the engine. LiFePO4 self-discharges so slowly that the S4 sits out a winter and still starts the bike.

Your bike's charging system keeps it topped up as you ride. For storage, use a charger or maintainer with a lithium (LiFePO4) mode, like Ionic's 12V 2A trickle charger; a lead-acid tender with a desulfation setting is hard on lithium cells.
