The Kawasaki Concours takes the YTX14H-BS case. The Antigravity ATX12 RE-START is a drop-in for that case: 360 cranking amps, 3 lb, a built-in jump start that saves enough charge to get you home.

Why the year matters on this one

The Concours is a motorcycle where the battery changed mid-run: 1986 to 2006 takes the ATX12 and 2008 to 2022 the YTX14H-BS. The plate above names the source for each year, and the table shows every run we have on file, so match the year to the case before you order.

For 2008 to 2022 that means the Antigravity ATX12 RE-START: 360 cranking amps, 3 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.

What size battery does a Kawasaki Concours take?+
It depends on the year: 1986 to 2006 takes the ATX12 and 2008 to 2022 the YTX14H-BS. For 2008 to 2022 that is the Antigravity ATX12 RE-START, the lithium drop-in for the YTX14H-BS case. The table above shows every run we have on file, so match your year to the case before you order.
Will a lithium battery work in a Concours without changes?+
Yes, on a bike with a healthy charging system: the lithium battery uses the same case, the same posts and the same cables, and it drops in where the lead-acid battery sat. Bikes older than about 2000 should have their voltage regulator and rectifier checked first, since a failing one overcharges any battery and lithium tolerates it less. Fill any gap in the tray with the foam spacers most lithium motorcycle batteries include.
Do I need a different charger for a lithium motorcycle battery?+
Use a charger or maintainer with a lithium (LiFePO4) mode. A lead-acid trickle charger can push the wrong voltage profile, and a desulfation mode can damage a lithium pack. A lithium-profile maintainer over the off-season keeps it topped without harm, and the battery loses only a few percent of charge a month sitting on its own.
