The BMW R65 takes the YIX30L-BS case. The Antigravity ATX30 RE-START is a drop-in for that case: 880 cranking amps, 6 lb, a built-in jump start that saves enough charge to get you home.

Shop all BMW batteriesWhy the year matters on this one
The R65 is a motorcycle where the battery changed mid-run: 1978 to 1983 takes the YT19BL-BS and 1984 to 1989 the YIX30L-BS. The plate above names the source for each year, and the table shows every run we have on file, so match the year to the case before you order.
For 1984 to 1989 that means the Antigravity ATX30 RE-START: 880 cranking amps, 6 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.
