The Polaris RZR XP 1000 takes the Group 26 case. The Antigravity Group 26 RE-START is a drop-in for that case: 850 cranking amps, 9 lb, a built-in jump start that saves enough charge to get you home. Some trims of this model take a different battery; check the code on yours.

What the RZR XP 1000 needs, in plain English

Every RZR XP 1000 from the first 2014 model through 2027 starts on the Group 26 case, a 12-volt starter battery. Polaris ships it with a lead-acid battery that starts to fade after two or three seasons of short rides and off-season storage, and that is usually the day a rider goes looking for something better.

The lithium drop-in is the Antigravity Group 26 RE-START: 850 cranking amps, 9 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Some trims of this model take a different battery; check the code on yours. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.

What size battery does a Polaris RZR XP 1000 take?+
The Group 26 case, the same one on every RZR XP 1000 from 2014 to 2027. The Antigravity Group 26 RE-START is the lithium drop-in for it. Some trims of this model take a different battery; check the code on yours.
Will a lithium battery work in an RZR XP 1000 without changes?+
Yes, on a machine with a healthy charging system: the lithium battery uses the same case, the same posts and the same cables, and it drops in where the lead-acid battery sat. Check that the stator and regulator hold a steady charge, fill any gap in the tray with the foam spacers most lithium UTV batteries include, and match the terminal layout of the battery you are replacing.
Do I need a different charger for a lithium UTV battery?+
Use a charger or maintainer with a lithium (LiFePO4) mode. A lead-acid trickle charger can push the wrong voltage profile, and a desulfation mode can damage a lithium pack. A lithium-profile maintainer over the off-season keeps it topped without harm, and the battery loses only a few percent of charge a month sitting on its own.
