The Polaris Ranger takes the YTX14AH-BS case. The Antigravity ATX12-AH RE-START is a drop-in for that case: 360 cranking amps, 3 lb, a built-in jump start that saves enough charge to get you home.

Why the year matters on this one

The Ranger is a UTV where the battery changed mid-run: 1998 to 2010 takes the YIX30L, 2011 the ATX30, 2012 to 2013 the YIX30L, 2014 the ATX30, 2015 to 2020 the ATX12-AH and 2021 to 2022 the YTX14AH-BS. The plate above names the source for each year, and the table shows every run we have on file, so match the year to the case before you order.

For 2021 to 2022 that means the Antigravity ATX12-AH RE-START: 360 cranking amps, 3 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.

What size battery does a Polaris Ranger take?+
It depends on the year: 1998 to 2010 takes the YIX30L, 2011 the ATX30, 2012 to 2013 the YIX30L, 2014 the ATX30, 2015 to 2020 the ATX12-AH and 2021 to 2022 the YTX14AH-BS. For 2021 to 2022 that is the Antigravity ATX12-AH RE-START, the lithium drop-in for the YTX14AH-BS case. The table above shows every run we have on file, so match your year to the case before you order.
Will a lithium battery work in a Ranger without changes?+
Yes, on a machine with a healthy charging system: the lithium battery uses the same case, the same posts and the same cables, and it drops in where the lead-acid battery sat. Check that the stator and regulator hold a steady charge, fill any gap in the tray with the foam spacers most lithium UTV batteries include, and match the terminal layout of the battery you are replacing.
Do I need a different charger for a lithium UTV battery?+
Use a charger or maintainer with a lithium (LiFePO4) mode. A lead-acid trickle charger can push the wrong voltage profile, and a desulfation mode can damage a lithium pack. A lithium-profile maintainer over the off-season keeps it topped without harm, and the battery loses only a few percent of charge a month sitting on its own.
