The Yamaha FX takes the YTX20L-BS case. The Antigravity ATX20 RE-START is a drop-in for that case: 680 cranking amps, 4 lb, a built-in jump start that saves enough charge to get you home.

Why the year matters on this one

The FX is a jet ski where the battery changed mid-run: 2009 to 2020 takes the YTX20HL-PW and 2024 to 2026 the YTX20L-BS. The plate above names the source for each year, and the table shows every run we have on file, so match the year to the case before you order.

For 2024 to 2026 that means the Antigravity ATX20 RE-START: 680 cranking amps, 4 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.

What size battery does a Yamaha FX take?+
It depends on the year: 2009 to 2020 takes the YTX20HL-PW and 2024 to 2026 the YTX20L-BS. For 2024 to 2026 that is the Antigravity ATX20 RE-START, the lithium drop-in for the YTX20L-BS case. The table above shows every run we have on file, so match your year to the case before you order.
Will a lithium battery work in an FX without changes?+
Yes, on a ski with a healthy charging system: the lithium battery uses the same case, the same posts and the same cables, and it drops in where the lead-acid battery sat. Check that the stator and regulator hold a steady charge, fill any gap in the tray with the foam spacers most lithium jet ski batteries include, and match the terminal layout of the battery you are replacing.
Do I need a different charger for a lithium jet ski battery?+
Use a charger or maintainer with a lithium (LiFePO4) mode. A lead-acid trickle charger can push the wrong voltage profile, and a desulfation mode can damage a lithium pack. A lithium-profile maintainer over the off-season keeps it topped without harm, and the battery loses only a few percent of charge a month sitting on its own.
