Shop all Kawasaki Jet Ski batteriesWhy the year matters on this one
The JS440 is a jet ski where the battery changed mid-run: 1977 to 1986 takes the YTX20L-BS and 1987 to 1992 the YTX20HL-PW. The plate above names the source for each year, and the table shows every run we have on file, so match the year to the case before you order.
For 1987 to 1992 that means the Antigravity ATX20 RE-START: 680 cranking amps, 4 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.
