The Suzuki LT-F500F Vinson takes the YTX20CH-BS case. The Antigravity ATX12 RE-START is a drop-in for that case: 360 cranking amps, 3 lb, a built-in jump start that saves enough charge to get you home.

What the LT-F500F Vinson needs, in plain English

Every LT-F500F Vinson from the first 2004 model through 2007 starts on the YTX20CH-BS case, a 12-volt starter battery. Suzuki ships it with a lead-acid battery that starts to fade after two or three seasons of short rides and off-season storage, and that is usually the day a rider goes looking for something better.

The lithium drop-in is the Antigravity ATX12 RE-START: 360 cranking amps, 3 pounds, the same case in lithium. Its RE-START function puts the battery to sleep before a parasitic draw can drain it, then wakes it with one press for a jump start. Charge it with a lithium-compatible charger or maintainer for the off-season and it outlasts the lead-acid battery it replaces by years.

What size battery does a Suzuki LT-F500F Vinson take?+
The YTX20CH-BS case, the same one on every LT-F500F Vinson from 2004 to 2007. The Antigravity ATX12 RE-START is the lithium drop-in for it.
Will a lithium battery work in an LT-F500F Vinson without changes?+
Yes, on a machine with a healthy charging system: the lithium battery uses the same case, the same posts and the same cables, and it drops in where the lead-acid battery sat. Check that the stator and regulator hold a steady charge, fill any gap in the tray with the foam spacers most lithium ATV batteries include, and match the terminal layout of the battery you are replacing.
Do I need a different charger for a lithium ATV battery?+
Use a charger or maintainer with a lithium (LiFePO4) mode. A lead-acid trickle charger can push the wrong voltage profile, and a desulfation mode can damage a lithium pack. A lithium-profile maintainer over the off-season keeps it topped without harm, and the battery loses only a few percent of charge a month sitting on its own.
